Vudoos - Archers Draw!

The Archers would go up 1-0 with Jeff "Lamb Chop" Lamborn unassisted when he would fire in from the point, then Lamb Chop would continue his productivity with another goal, this one form his off wing when he went off the pipe and in. The Archers would ride that 2-0 lead into the first intermission, after outshooting the Vudoos 14-9.

The Archers would build on their lead with Captain Jason Fischbach, who would tee off low into the net from the point, but the Vudoos would get on the board with Mike Cenatiempo Jr. when he one-timed from Stephen Pavoni and Mark Schwanda. The Vudoos were then down 3-1 and would halve their deficit with Jim Schwanda on a rocket from the top of the circle. Now the Vudoos were cooking, and would pressure the Archers, which would culminate with a buzzer beater. At 3-3, the Vudoos were clearly the team in better shape heading into the third period.

The Archers didn't take long to regain their lead when Lamb Chop completed his hat trick with a high wrister which went against the grain after he cut to the middle, and the lead would double to 5-3 with Pete Sztankovits unassisted. The Vudoos would come closer with Mike Jr. from Mike Sr. and Mark Schwanda on a scramble in front of the Archers' net, and would level it with Mike Jr.'s hat trick goal, on a play which would mirror his previous goal. After trailing the whole game, Mike Jr. would continue with his career night, notching his fourth goal, as Jim Schwanda would tally his second assist. The Archers could have been reeling, but they were an experienced bunch, and wouldn't allow that to happen, pulling even with Ryan Schmitz on a flipped puck just under the bar after a prolonged period of Archers pressure.
