DiPaolo DiStroys Vudoos with Hat Trick

Jimmy DiPaolo got off to a blazing start, although for most of the first period, he was unable to beat Pete Peterson. Peterson, to his credit, was standing on his head, but would finally surrender to DiPaolo, who scored courtesy of Nicole Terpak and Ed "The Giraffe" Jefferys. DiPaolo, unable to crack Peterson low, went high, but any momentum Ooff! would have had going into the second period was stamped out when an early James Woods-Corwin breakaway would tie it. After this, Dean Bogner buckled down and robbed Kurt Seidel and the Vudoos of going ahead, but Ooff!'s inability to help out Bogner, specifically when, on a few shifts later, they could not get the puck out of their own zone in a board battle near the blue line would see the Vudoos score. Nudging it to Adam Kelly was John Rosalie, who fired on Bogner. but with Ooff!'s players out of position, that puck by Kelly went right to Tom "Godzilla" Godon, who was able to calmly go low corner for a Vudoos lead. More Vudoos pressuring would come, and they would be rewarded when Jim Schwanda and Mark Schwanda assisted Woods-Corwin. It would be difficult for Ooff! to come back with the way Peterson has played, but Brendan Kinney got them going when he would score through traffic, then he assisted DiPaolo. From down two to all square in a jiffy, Ooff! would further energize themselves by going ahead 4-3 when DiPaolo completed his hat trick to end the second period on a tear. Ooff! would be unable to add to their lead, while the next goal would be a Will "The Wild Card" Dimock equalizer, and the Vudoos were now level again. After The Wild Card's goal, Bogner steered away Gary Len from point blank range, for a roar from the Ooff! bench. Now on the frontfoot, Ooff! would earn an odd man rush when Mike Caporaso sprinted out of his own zone. He went in with Terpak, who did the rest, and it was 5-4 Onomatopoeia Crew. The Vudoos would huff and puff for their fifth goal, eventually calling timeout, but would be unable to get it, as Ooff! took all three points, 5-4.
